My Notes
The Notes module lets users create, edit, and color code personal notes making it easy to organize and quickly retrieve information within ChurchPad.
How to Navigate the ‘My Notes’ Page
Log In – Make sure you’re signed into your ChurchPad account
Select “My Notes” – In the left-hand menu, click My Notes to open a page displaying any notes you’ve previously created.

Add a New Note
Find the Add Button – Look for a “+” icon or button (often at the bottom-right corner).
Fill out the Form (in the Add Note modal):
Note Title (Optional) – Give your note a headline if you’d like.
Background Color – Choose a color from the palette to make your note stand out
Note Content – Type your text in the text box. You can format it with bold, italics, or add links and emojis.
Save – Once done, hit Save to add your note to the grid. It should now appear among your other notes.

View or Read a Note
Click on a Note – To see the full content, simply click the note card in the grid.
Full View – A modal or pop-up will show the entire note, including any formatting, title, and timestamp (e.g., “March 11, 2025”).
Tip: If your text is lengthy, the grid may only show a snippet. Opening the note ensures you can see everything in detail.

Edit an Existing Note
Open the Note – Click on the note in the grid to bring up the View Note modal.
Select “Edit Note” – This typically appears at the bottom of the Modal
Modify Your Note (in the Edit Note modal):
Change the Title, Background Color, or Note Content.
Use the formatting buttons (bold, italic, underline, link) as desired.
Save Changes – Click Save Changes to apply your updates. If you decide not to change anything, close the modal.

Delete a Note
Open the Note to View – As before, click on the note card to see it.
Click “Delete Note” – found at the bottom of the modal.
Confirm Your Decision – A pop-up may ask, “Are you sure?”. Choose Delete Note to permanently remove it or Go Back to keep it.
Important: Deletion is often permanent—once removed, the note cannot be recovered.

Managing Your Notes
Search Bar – On the Search bar, type a keyword (e.g., “Easter,” “Meeting,” “Prayer”) to locate notes quickly.
Color Coding – Using different background colors can help visually categorize or prioritize your notes (e.g., yellow for urgent, pink for personal reflections, etc.).
Titles vs. Untitled – While a title is optional, it can be helpful if you have many notes and need to find them at a glance.
