Contribution Codes
How to Navigate the ‘Contribution Codes’ Page of the Contribution Module in the Admin Portal
Log In – Make sure you’re signed into your ChurchPad account.
Click your Profile Icon at the top right.
From the dropdown menu, select "Admin"
You are now in the Admin Portal.
From the left sidebar menu, click on “Contribution”.
Select Contribution Codes (sometimes labeled “Contribution Names and Code”) to open the page. You will see a table of existing contribution codes, including columns such as Name, Code, and Created At.

Overview of the Contribution Codes Table
Each row in the table represents a specific contribution type or category. The columns typically include:
Name: The descriptive title (e.g., Tithe, Offering, Evangelization Fund).
Code: A short code (e.g., T, O, E) that you can use for quick references and reports.
Created At: The date the code was added to ChurchPad.
Actions:
Edit – to modify the name or code.
Delete – to remove the code entirely.
Adding a New Contribution Code
Click the + Add New Code button (usually at the top-right of the page).
A side panel will appear, titled Add Contribution Name and Code (or similar).
In the Contribution Name field, type the full name (e.g.,
Building Fund, Missions).In the Contribution Code field, enter a short code (e.g.,
B, M).Click Add Contribution Name & Code (or Submit) to finalize.
The new code will now appear in the main list.

Editing an Existing Contribution Code
In the Actions column, next to the code you wish to modify, click Edit.
A side panel (or modal) will open, titled Change Contribution Name, or you may see the same Add Contribution Name and Code fields if the interface is uniform for both adding and editing.
Update the Contribution Name and/or Code as needed. For example, you might change Tithe to Offering or the code T to O.
Click Submit to confirm your changes.

Deleting a Contribution Code
In the Actions column, select Delete from the dropdown next to the contribution code you wish to remove.
A confirmation dialog will appear, asking if you are sure you want to remove it.
Click Remove Contribution (or Yes, Delete) to confirm. Once removed, it cannot be undone.
Important: If you have past or ongoing contributions tied to the code you plan to delete, be sure to consult your organization’s policy or financial records. Removing a code might affect historical reporting.
