How to Navigate the ‘Settings’ Page of the Contribution Module in the Admin Portal
Log In – Make sure you’re signed into your ChurchPad account.
Click your Profile Icon at the top right.
From the dropdown menu, select "Admin"
You are now in the Admin Portal.
From the left sidebar menu, click on “Contribution”.
Click ‘Settings’ under the Contribution menu. This will open the Contribution Settings page.

Understanding Each Setting
On the Contribution Settings page, you will see several options. Let’s go through them one by one:
Contribution Duration (Access to contribution statements)
This setting lets you specify how far back users can access their contribution statements.
For example, if it is set to 1 Year, users can view and download statements up to 1 year in the past.
Contribution Duration (Change contribution type)
This second duration setting controls the window of time users have to change a contribution type (e.g., from Tithe to Offering) after they have contributed.
For example, if this is set to 2 hours, contributors can only edit the contribution type within 2 hours of donating.
Contribution Types (Toggle)
This toggle determines whether users are allowed to change contribution types at all.
If switched On, users can change the designation of their contributions (e.g., from Missions to Building Fund).
If switched Off, only administrators can change or assign contribution types.
Email Addresses (Notifications)
Here, you can enter the email addresses that should receive accounting-related notifications, including alerts about new contributions.
You can add up to five (5) valid email addresses, separated by commas (e.g., [email protected], [email protected]).
If you encounter an error such as “You must provide a valid intro,” make sure to:
Use proper formatting (e.g., no extra spaces before/after the address).
Ensure each address is in the standard email format (
[email protected]).Remove any leftover commas or special characters that might invalidate your entry.
Editing and Saving Your Settings
To edit a setting (for example, the time frame under “Contribution Duration”), look for an Edit button or pencil icon beside the current value.
Click Edit, update the setting (e.g., changing from 1 Month to 3 Months), and confirm or click Save.
For the Contribution Types toggle, simply click the toggle to On or Off.
In the Email Addresses field, add or remove addresses as needed. Be sure they are comma-separated if you’re listing more than one.
Finally, click the Save button (usually found at the bottom of the form) to confirm all changes.
The Contribution Settings page in ChurchPad is your central place for controlling how donors (and staff) interact with their contributions. By adjusting duration settings, enabling or disabling contribution type changes, and setting up email notifications, you ensure that contributions are recorded accurately and that the right people receive important financial alerts.
