How to Navigate the ‘SMS History’ Page of the Communication Module in the Admin Portal

  1. Log In – Make sure you’re signed into your ChurchPad account.

  2. Click your Profile Icon at the top right.

  3. From the dropdown menu, select "Admin"

  4. You are now in the Admin Portal.

  5. From the left sidebar menu, click on Communication.

  6. Under the Communication menu, select the ‘SMS’ option.


Understanding the SMS Page

The SMS page has two primary tabs:

  1. History Tab: Displays past SMS transactions.

  2. Schedule Tab: Displays SMS messages scheduled to be sent later.


Viewing SMS History

  1. Use the History Tab to review all previous SMS messages.

  2. Transactions can be filtered by date using the Start Date and End Date fields.

  3. Click Run Query to apply your date filter.

  4. The table includes:

    1. Transaction ID

    2. Sender ID

    3. Credits Used

    4. Total Recipients

    5. Valid Recipients

    6. Invalid Recipients

    7. Date Sent

    8. Actions (View details)

  5. Click View under Actions to see detailed information about a specific SMS transaction.


Viewing Detailed SMS Logs

  1. Upon clicking View, you will see details such as:

    1. Sender ID

    2. Receiver

    3. Status (Success or Failed)

    4. Date and Time of sending


Sending a New SMS

  1. Click the Send New SMS button.

  2. Methods to Select Recipients:

    1. Existing Group

      1. Choose a recipient category from the dropdown (e.g., Department, Service Unit, Positions).

      2. Select the group(s) from the list.

    2. Church Database

      1. Select recipients by searching using keywords from the church database.

    3. Manual Entry

      1. Enter phone numbers manually, separated by commas.

  3. Composing the Message:

    1. Enter the Sender Number.

    2. Type your message in the Message box.

    3. Choose Message Type:

      1. Standard Message

      2. Personalized Message

    4. Choose Schedule Type:

      1. Send Now (immediately sends SMS)

      2. Send Later (allows scheduling the SMS for a later date/time)

  4. Scheduling an SMS

    1. Select Send Later under Schedule Type.

    2. Choose the desired date and time from the calendar widget.

  1. Reviewing and Confirming Your SMS

    1. Click View Summary to review message details:

      1. Sender Number

      2. Message content

      3. Message type

      4. Scheduled date/time

      5. Total recipients, credit cost, and recipient validation (valid, invalid, duplicates, Do Not Disturb recipients).

    2. Confirm and click Send Message.


Downloading SMS Reports

  1. Click on the Download button at the top-right corner of the History tab.

  2. Select either:

    1. Download All: Downloads all transaction records.

    2. Download Current: Downloads currently displayed records.
