How to Navigate the ‘Contact Groups’ Page in the Admin Portal

  1. Log In – Make sure you’re signed into your ChurchPad account.

  2. Click your Profile Icon at the top right.

  3. From the dropdown menu, select "Admin"

  4. You are now in the Admin Portal.

  5. From the left sidebar menu, click on Communication.

  6. Under the Communication menu, select the ‘Contact Groups’ option. This will take you directly to the Contact Groups listing page.


Contact Groups Listing Overview

The Contact Groups page presents a detailed list of existing groups, displaying:

  1. Name: Title of the group, accompanied by a thumbnail.

  2. Members: Profile pictures and total number of members within the group.

  3. Created Date: Date and time the group was created.

  4. Actions: Dropdown menu for group-specific actions:

    1. View Members

    2. Add Members

    3. Send Message

    4. Edit Group

    5. Delete


Creating a New Group

  1. Click on the + Add Group button.

  2. Enter a Group Name.

  3. Select members by typing in the Select Member field.

  4. Add emails for new members if needed.

  5. Optional: Upload a thumbnail (max size: 10MB; recommended dimensions: 1280px width x 450px height).

  6. Click Save to create the group.

Editing a Group

  1. Select Edit Group from the Actions dropdown.

  2. Update the Group Name, Members, or Thumbnail as necessary.

  3. Click Update to save your changes.


Deleting a Group

  1. Choose Delete from the Actions dropdown.

  2. Confirm deletion in the validation modal by clicking Delete Group. Note that this action is irreversible.


Viewing Group Members

  1. Select View Members from the Actions dropdown.

  2. You will see a detailed list of group members displaying phone numbers, first and last names, and email addresses.


Managing Group Members

You can manage members in several ways:

Add Members

  1. Manually: Input phone number, first name, last name, and email for each member manually.

  1. Import CSV: Upload a CSV file (only .csv format accepted).

  1. From Church Database: Select existing members from your ChurchPad database.


Edit Member Details

  1. Click Edit Details next to the member you want to update.

  2. Edit phone number, first name, last name, or email.

  3. Click Update to save changes.


Delete Members

  1. Select Delete from the member's actions dropdown.

  2. Confirm deletion by clicking Delete Member in the validation modal. This action cannot be undone.

Sending Messages to Group Members

  1. Select Send Message under the Actions dropdown.

  2. Choose your communication type:

    1. Email: Select the sender’s name/email, enter a message, and schedule the send time.

b. SMS: Choose sender number, enter message, personalize, and schedule send time.

c. MMS: Choose sender number, select media, enter message, personalize, schedule send time.

d. Voice Broadcast: Select sender number, media, personalize message, schedule or send now.

e. Push Notification: Choose target app page, select media, enter message, and schedule or send now.
