Greeting Templates
How to Navigate the ‘Templates’ Page in the People Module in the Admin Portal
Log In – Make sure you’re signed into your ChurchPad account.
Click your Profile Icon at the top right.
From the dropdown menu, select "Admin"
You are now in the Admin Portal.
From the left sidebar menu, click on “People”.
Under the People menu, select the ‘Birthdays and Wedding Anniversaries’ option. You will be taken to a page with multiple tabs across the top: Birthday Celebrations, Wedding Anniversaries, Templates, Automated Greetings.
Select Templates to view all currently available templates.

Browse & Search Templates
On the Templates page, you’ll see a list of existing templates with columns like:
Template Name
Type (e.g., Email, SMS, MMS, Voice, Push)
Created By
Date (date/time created or last updated)
Actions (View, Edit, Delete)
Use the Type to search … bar above the table to locate specific templates by name or keyword.

Add a New Template
Click the + Add Template button in the top-right corner.
A new page or modal will appear, allowing you to enter:
Communication Type: Choose Email, SMS, Voice, MMS, or Push Notification.
Template Name: Give your template a memorable name (e.g., Birthday Greetings).
Sender Name (Email templates only): The name that appears as “From” in a recipient’s inbox.
Sender Email or Sender Number (Email/SMS): The address/number you will be sending from.
Subject (for Email/Push Notification templates).
Message: The main body of your greeting.
Use the formatting toolbar to style text or insert links/images (if applicable).
You can also insert placeholders like {FULLNAME}, {USEREMAIL}, {ORGANIZATIONNAME}, etc.
Template Banner (optional): Click Upload or browse to add an image that displays at the top of your email/push notification, or choose an image from the Media Gallery.
After entering all desired details, click Add Template.
You will be redirected back to the main Templates list with a success message (if everything was filled out correctly).

View a Template
In the Actions column for any template, click View.
A right-side panel (or modal) will open, displaying:
Template Name
Type
Subject (if Email/Push)
Message (including any placeholders)
Gender (if applicable)
Created At date and time
Banner Image preview (if uploaded)
Click Close to exit the view, or Edit to make changes immediately.

Edit a Template
In the Actions column, select Edit Template.
You’ll be taken to an edit screen similar to the Add Template form:
Change the Communication Type, Template Name, Subject, Message, or Banner as needed.
Click Save Template to apply your changes.
The updated template will appear in the main Templates list with the latest changes reflected.

Delete a Template
In the Actions column, click the dropdown and select Delete
A confirmation dialog will pop up, asking if you’re sure you want to delete the template (this action cannot be undone).
Click Delete Template to permanently remove it or Go Back if you change your mind.
