How to Navigate the ‘Settings’ Page of the People Module in the Admin Portal
Log In – Make sure you’re signed into your ChurchPad account.
Click your Profile Icon at the top right.
From the dropdown menu, select "Admin"
You are now in the Admin Portal.
From the left sidebar menu, click on “People”.
Under the People menu, select the ‘Settings’ option.

Key Settings and Their Functions
Below is a breakdown of each major setting on this page:
Allow Users to Set Spouse
Toggle On if you want church members (or internal users) to be able to link a spouse to their profile.
Toggle Off if spousal links are not required in your church database.
Allow Users to Unset Spouse
Toggle On to permit members (or admins on behalf of members) to remove a spouse relationship if needed.
Toggle Off to prevent accidental or unauthorized removal of spouse links.
Allow Multiple Users with the Same Envelope ID
By default, an Envelope ID is a unique giving or contribution identifier for each individual.
If you enable this option, multiple users can share the same envelope ID (useful for joint giving accounts, e.g., spouses or entire families contributing under one envelope number).
Maximum Number of Users with the Same Envelope ID
If Allow Multiple Users with the Same Envelope ID is enabled, this slider or numeric field lets you set the upper limit of users who can share a single ID.
For example, set it to 5 if you allow up to five family members to share one giving envelope.
House Fellowship Name Label
Customize the term used throughout ChurchPad for “House Fellowship.”
For instance, you can rename “House Fellowship” to “Life Group,” “Cell Group,” or another ministry-specific label.
Click Edit, type the new name (e.g., “House Fellowship Four”), then click Save.
House Fellowship Zone Label
Specify how you want to label zones within your House Fellowship (e.g., “Region,” “Sector,” “Area”).
Click Edit, enter your chosen term or number, then Save.
House Fellowship District Label
Define labels for districts within House Fellowships.
For example, “District 4” or “Section 4.”
Again, click Edit, type the preferred label, and Save.
Making & Saving Changes
Adjust Toggles and Input Fields: Switch on or off the relevant options, or use the slider to set the maximum envelope-sharing limit.
Edit Labels (if needed): Click the Edit link next to any House Fellowship label. Update the text field, then confirm by clicking Save (or Cancel if you change your mind).
Save All Changes: In some ChurchPad versions, each field has its own Save button, while in others, you may have a single Save button at the bottom of the page. Make sure you save your changes before navigating away.
Tip: Double-check each setting’s status after saving to ensure your changes were applied correctly.
Tips & Best Practices
Spouse Linking: If you enable spouse linking, make sure your staff knows how to assist members in attaching or removing spouse details responsibly.
Envelope ID Sharing: Be mindful that multiple people sharing one envelope ID may complicate contribution tracking. Use the Maximum Number field to prevent excessive sharing.
House Fellowship Labels: Updating the label(s) will change how it appears in various parts of ChurchPad—be consistent with your church’s terminology so members and staff aren’t confused.
Review Changes: Regularly revisit these settings to ensure they still align with your church’s growth or evolving needs.
