How to Navigate the ‘Prayer Requests Categories’ Page in the Admin Portal

  1. Log In – Make sure you’re signed into your ChurchPad account.

  2. Click your Profile Icon at the top right.

  3. From the dropdown menu, select "Admin"

  4. You are now in the Admin Portal.

  5. From the left sidebar menu, click on “Prayer Requests”.

  6. Under the Prayer Requests menu, select the ‘Categories’ option.


Viewing Categories

  1. On the Categories page, you'll see a table listing all existing categories.

  2. Each category entry displays:

    1. Name: The title of the category.

    2. Items: Number of prayer requests associated with that category.

    3. Created By: Name of the administrator who created the category.

    4. Created Date: Date when the category was created.


Adding a New Category

  1. Click the + Add Category button located in the top-right corner.

  2. In the Add Category modal, enter the desired category name.

  3. Click Save Category to confirm.


Viewing Category Details

  1. Click on the View Details button next to the desired category.

  2. A modal window appears, displaying detailed information:

    1. Name, Items, and Created At details.


Deleting a Category

To delete a category:

  1. Click View Details next to the category.

  2. In the details modal, click the Delete button.

  3. Confirm the deletion by clicking Delete again in the prompt.

Note: Categories with associated prayer requests cannot be deleted. Attempting this action will trigger a notification: "You cannot delete a category that is still in use."
