How to Navigate the ‘Teenager’s Settings’ Page in the Admin Portal
Log In – Make sure you’re signed into your ChurchPad account.
Click your Profile Icon at the top right.
From the dropdown menu, select "Admin"
You are now in the Admin Portal.
From the left sidebar menu, click on "Teenagers".
Under the Children menu, select the Settings option.

Overview of Key Settings
Below is a breakdown of each setting and how it impacts your children’s check-in process.
Set Teeanger's Age Bracket (Yr)
Enter the maximum age (in years) for individuals to be categorized as children within your church’s database.
For example, if you set 18, anyone 18 years old and below will appear under the “Children” category.
Badge Printing
Toggle On if you want to print badges/labels for children during check-in (commonly used for security and identification).
Toggle Off if you prefer not to print badges.
SMS Check-In / Check-Out Notification
Toggle On if you want an SMS to be sent to parents/guardians whenever their child is checked in or out.
Toggle Off to disable these SMS notifications.
Email Notification Check-In / Check-Out Notification
Toggle On if you want email notifications to be sent for check-ins and check-outs.
Toggle Off to skip sending email notifications.
Push Notification Check-In / Check-Out Notification
Toggle On to send push notifications (via the ChurchPad mobile app) for check-ins and check-outs.
Toggle Off if you do not want to use push notifications.
ChurchPad Teens App Code
Enter a secure numeric code here. This code is typically used in the ChurchPad Kids Check-In app to authorize or sync your church’s account.
Make sure you communicate this code only to authorized personnel.
Receive Teenager’s Feature
Toggle On to allow a designated staff or volunteer to acknowledge a child’s arrival in the ChurchPad Kids Check-In app (the “Receive Teen” function). This is by default turned on when Mobile App Check-in is enabled.
Toggle off if you do not require a separate “child arrival” confirmation step.
Mobile App Check-In
Toggle On to allow parents/guardians to initiate check-in via the ChurchPad mobile app on their smartphones.
Toggle Off if you prefer in-person, on-site check-in only.
Drop-Off Time (Min)
Use the slider to set the “drop-off” timeframe (in minutes). This works in conjunction with the Mobile App Check-in and Receive Child Features.
If the child is not physically dropped off and not marked “Received” within this timeframe, the system will track the check-in as incomplete or prompt you with a notification.
Cancel Check-In (Hr)
Set the grace period (in hours) after which a check-in will automatically be canceled if the child is never physically dropped off.
For instance, if set to 5, and the child does not arrive within 5 hours, the check-in will be canceled.
Set Teenager’s Check-in Portal Session Timeout
Here, choose how long the Children’s Check-in Portal remains active before automatically logging out due to inactivity.
For example, setting it to 4 Hours means if there’s no activity for 4 hours, you will be signed out for security purposes.
Saving Your Settings
After making any changes in each section, look for the Save button on the right side of that section. Be sure to click “Save” before exiting to ensure your changes take effect.
Tips for Effective Setup
Double-check your toggles: Notifications (SMS, Email, Push) can sometimes overlap. Choose the communication channels that best suit your community to avoid over-notification.
Use a secure Kids App Code: Treat this code like a password—limit who has access, and change it periodically for added security.
Review the Drop-Off and Cancel Check-In times: Make sure these align with your church’s practical Sunday school or children’s ministry processes, ensuring families have enough time to complete check-in or correct any errors.
Enable the Mobile App Check-In if you want to streamline the process for tech-savvy families. They can check in from their phones before arriving, speeding up drop-off.
Monitor the Session Timeout: If you operate a busy church environment with multiple volunteers, setting a shorter session timeout enhances security but might be inconvenient if you have fewer devices or staff.
