  1. Log In – Make sure you’re signed into your ChurchPad account.

  2. Click your Profile Icon at the top right.

  3. From the dropdown menu, select "Admin"

  4. You are now in the Admin Portal.

  5. From the left sidebar menu, click on “Children”.

  6. Under the Children menu, select the ‘Teachers’ option.

Exploring the Teachers List

  1. Teacher’s Name & Photo: Displays their profile picture and name (if provided).

  2. Phone: Their primary contact number.

  3. Classroom Category: The classroom(s) assigned to that teacher (e.g., “Little Blazers,” “The Little Wise II,” etc.).

  4. Actions: A button or drop-down (often labeled “Details” or “⋮”) with options such as View Teacher, Edit Teacher, and Remove Teacher.

  1. If you have many teachers, use the Type to search… field at the top to filter by name or any relevant keywords.

Adding a New Teacher

  1. Click the Add Teacher button (at the top-right of the page).

  2. A panel or dialog labeled Add Teacher will appear.

  3. Select Teacher:

    1. Use the search box (e.g., typing “Sonaike Marilyn”) to find a registered person in your ChurchPad database.

    2. If the person does not exist in your database, you may need to create a new profile under People before adding them as a teacher.

  4. Classroom Category:

    1. Choose one or multiple categories from a dropdown list (e.g., “Caleb Crew,” “Little Blazers,” “The Little Wise II”).

    2. Teachers can be assigned to multiple classrooms if they oversee more than one group.

  5. Enable Admin Access (Optional):

    1. Check this box if you want the teacher to have additional privileges in the Children’s Module (e.g., the ability to check children in/out or access certain settings).

  6. Click Add Teacher.

Editing a Teacher’s Information or Access

  1. In the Actions column, select Edit Teacher (click “🔽” → “Edit Teacher”).

  2. A dialog labeled Edit Teacher will appear.

  3. The old Classroom Category is shown for reference.

  4. New Classroom Category:

    1. Use the dropdown to select or change the classroom(s) to which this teacher belongs.

  5. Enable/Disable Admin Access:

    1. Check or uncheck the box if you want to give or remove higher-level permissions.

  6. Click Save to confirm changes.

Removing (Deleting) a Teacher

Note: Removing a teacher will delete their record from the Teachers List but will not delete their overall personal profile in the database. They can be re-added later if needed.

  1. Next to the teacher’s name, click Actions → Remove Teacher (or “Delete Teacher”).

  2. A confirmation dialog will appear, stating “Are you sure you want to delete this teacher?”

  3. Choose to Remove Teacher to finalize, or Go Back if you change your mind.

Viewing a Teacher’s Profile

  1. In the Actions menu on the Teachers List, select View Teacher.

  2. You will be automatically redirected to the People Module, where the selected Teacher Member’s Profile is displayed.

  3. Within the People Module, you can view the teacher’s more detailed personal information, history, and any additional notes that are stored in their profile.

Note: Because Teachers are ultimately individuals stored in ChurchPad’s main People database, the “View Teacher” function links directly to that person’s record. This ensures a consistent, centralized location for all personal data.

Best Practices & Tips

  1. Pre-Register Teachers: Make sure each teacher has a basic profile in ChurchPad before assigning them as a teacher.

  2. Use Clear Classroom Names: When assigning categories, ensure they match the classroom labels used in the Children’s Module so there’s no confusion.

  3. Grant Admin Access Wisely: Only enable Admin Access for those who truly need it (e.g., lead teachers, children’s ministry coordinators).

  4. Review Regularly: Periodically review your Teachers List to remove or update teachers who no longer serve in that capacity.
