How to Navigate the ‘Overview’ Page of the Children’s Module in the Admin Portal
Log In – Make sure you’re signed into your ChurchPad account.
Click your Profile Icon at the top right.
From the dropdown menu, select "Admin"
You are now in the Admin Portal.
From the left sidebar menu, click on “Children”.
Under the Children menu, select the ‘Overview’ option. You should now see several summary cards (e.g., total children, number of male/female, total teachers) followed by various demographic charts.

Summary Cards
At the top of the Overview page, you’ll typically find numerical snapshots of:
Children: The total number of children currently in your database.
Male: The total number of boys.
Female: The total number of girls.
Teachers: The total number of teachers or staff assigned to children’s classrooms.
Children by Gender
A pie chart often displays the percentage of boys vs. girls. Hover over each slice to see the exact percentage or number.
Blue: Male
Light Blue (or another color): Female
Demographics by Color
This bar chart may track a fun or optional data point, such as the “favorite color” each child has in their profile:
Each color (e.g., Red, Green, Purple) is shown on the x-axis.
The height of each bar indicates how many children have that color listed.
Demographics by Age Group
Here, you’ll see how many children fall into each age bracket (e.g., 0 yrs, 1 yr, 2 yrs, etc.):
The x-axis represents age in years (or months for very young children).
The y-axis represents the total number of children in each age bracket.
This insight helps you see which age groups are most prevalent in your ministry, aiding in classroom capacity planning.
Demographics by Birthday
A monthly breakdown of birthdays, often with color-coded stacks for Male, Female, and Not Set (if no gender is specified). Each month’s bar shows how many children have birthdays during that period.
Hover over a specific bar to see exact counts.
This is especially helpful for organizing birthday celebrations or sending out birthday greetings.

Demographics by Allergies
A bar chart reflecting how many children have specific food allergies (e.g., Meat, Fish, Corn, Milk, Shellfish, Tree Nut, etc.):
Useful for planning safe snacks and meals during events.
If you see a large number of children with a particular allergy (e.g., Peanuts), you may wish to avoid those foods at church events.

Demographics per Classroom in a Year
Shows how many children belong to each classroom category:
For example, “The Little Wise One,” “6-7 Years,” “10-12 Years,” etc.
Each bar indicates how many children are assigned to that classroom.
Helps in balancing class sizes, adjusting teacher assignments, and planning materials.

Demographics per Teacher
Displays how many children each teacher is responsible for, over a specific timeframe (e.g., the past year):
Gives you insight into teacher workload.
If you notice one teacher has a significantly higher number of children than others, you can redistribute or add more volunteer support.

Last Few Months Check-In
A bar chart that shows attendance trends, comparing Present vs. Absent counts over recent months:
x-axis: Months (e.g., Feb 2024, Mar 2024, etc.).
y-axis: The total number of check-ins or attendance records.
Color Key: Usually, one color denotes Present (checked in) and another denotes Absent (did not check-in).
This helps track attendance patterns over time, so you can respond if attendance suddenly drops or confirm if your special events are boosting numbers.

Changing Timeframes or Chart Settings
Each chart typically has its mini-toolbar (often in the top-right corner):
Year or Date Range Selector: Switch between different years or months to filter the data.
Export or Download: Download the chart or data in various formats.
